Soap Opera Himalaya Shave Soap

I got half a puck of this soap from a generous member and tried it out this morning for the first time.

I decided to use it like a shave stick since it was conveniently cut in half and had a nice flat surface to use. I rubbed it on my beard and then whipped up a serious lather using my 2009 B&B LE butterscotch.

I love the scent and it gave me a close, comfortable, moisturized shave. What a great way to start the day! :w00t::w00t:

I used the tea blossom yesterday. It might have been the shave of the year.

What I really like about SOoM = Their scents NEVER irritate my skin.

The Himalaya explodes into a dense, rich, thick, enriching lather. It is a soft pliable soap which easily molds into a shave stick. Because its soft, it rubs on thick like dense butter cream icing. Put a brush to that and then take cover. The fragrance is light and delicate. And of course its named after the mountain range which towers above the hill station known as Darjeeling.

A much more poetic and descriptive paragraph about the wonders of this soap than what I cobbled together.:lol:

Did you pick your screen name in homage to that hill station?

I picked up a new puck of The Soap Opera's Himalaya with Shea Butter and Soy off the BST and shaved with it this morning. This stuff smells really good, last night I kept picking the puck up to sniff it through the cellophane. The scent is a little hard to describe, light floral with a slight candy scent, vaguely similar to Provence Sante Green Tea (which I also like) but less cloying. And the lather is really amazing from something that calls itself a glycerine shave disk. Rich and slick. After washing off my razor, the thick clumps of lather refused to go down the drain and were floating around on top of the water, staring at me. I will revisit this stuff tomorrow.

I missed a chance to go to Soap Opera last weekend. I was driving through madison, stopped for dinner, looked up and it was across the street. Unfortunately, they were already closed.

Not the same Soap Opera that you're thinking of, but we got one in Iowa City that has lots of nice stuff.
