soap for Sensitive skin

My brother in-law has Sensitive skin and he is looking for some shaving soap for Sensitive skin.

Here is some products that he has used.

Col. Conk shaving soap (Amber)
Proraso with aloe and green tea in the white tub
van der Hagen Glycerin soap

thanks Andy

Sooooo, did he like those products? or did they irritate him??

That said, try these:

1. Mitchell's Wool Fat
2. Honeybee spa Unscented
3. Mama Bear Unscented

Also, to what is he normally allergic? I find citrus soaps burn me like crazy. Some Lavenders give me trouble too. Florals are hit and miss.

Trumper's Rose soap is the mildest I have used. My skin reacts like crazy even to something as simple as water. Go figure.

I find EJ Buckthorn is very mild. Gold Dachs is also often advised for sensitive skins, and it works great for me (and I have a very sensitive skin), but YMMV.

I got a mild sting/warming sensation/itching from all the Trumpers creams. I've not bothered to try any other rose creams. However, the Trumpers rose soap doesn't bother me for some reason. If you got intense burning from rose scented creams I would still avoid it though.

Interesting. 3T's Rose creams burned me like the fires of heck.

I, too, have sensitive skin.
I like
Mitchell's Wool Fat
Pre De Provence
Provence De Sante
Tabac
Cella
Institute Karite

Some scents set me off, lavender in particular. I know I need to spend more time finding out what ingredient irritates me in those products I have reactions to. I'd bet your friend could benefit from the same knowledge.

Everybody's skin is VERY different.

I'm highly sensitive, but once i started using TABAC and IRISCH MOOS, my irritation disappeared completely. I mean they work so good, i can be sloppy with water/soap ratio and shave faster without any redness. miracles IMHO

In addition, i use a good ASB to keep my skin moist and therefor rejuvenate faster. The Shave Den's Milk is great, SCS is too. GOOD LUCK!

I generally don't have sensitive skin. However, since wetshaving I've found that lanolin burns my face, lavendar does not treat it much better and D.R. Harris products irritate it as well.

Hi there. I have similar reactions to some shaving creams. Like nivea or florena.. I don't know why but it is giving me slight burning sensations. And if I let the stuff 30 mins or so:blushing:, then it will sting quite a bit.
But I found out that Speick is superb, and I can keep it on all the time. I have no reactions to it. I tried the cream and soap stick. I love the soap stick! It's great that you can shave patiently with it. That is very important for a beginners, as I am.
Hope this helped.
