An Ever Ready, which I believe is the English equivalent. Is this where you tell me that standard SE blades won't fit?

I've got the Lord L6 as well. Great razor for the price. I 'upgraded' the handle to a heavier, shorter one, by ordering one of the Chinese Rimei razors on Amazon (For $2). The heavier handle really helped that razor's balance.
More water with more soap. I like my soap on the wetter side of things.
For a soap stick: I soak my face, rub the soap stick all over (against the grain or in circles) until it my face is no longer wet and use a, still dripping, wet brush, give it a very light shake, and slowly work it up to lather. Yes, it makes a bit of a mess but it works well and leaves me with great lather.

The Standard SE blades wont fit......just joking, they should fit, but make sure they are PTFE coated for better quality shave results
