Well...I suppose that would get a LOT of men to start drinking. Maybe this was actually an anti-prohibition ad made by the liquor industry...I bet it sold a lot of alcohol!
Very funny! You know, my favorite historical "fun fact" about the Temperance Movement is that apparently after a long day of protesting alcohol, the ladies were partial to winding down at the local soda fountain for a Coca Cola. And of course, back then, the Coca Cola was a little peppier than the current formula, if you catch my drift. I guess if it wasn't for double standards, people would have no standards at all...
