Guess those who were around during prohibition and visited the speak easy were doubly lucky.

Well...I suppose that would get a LOT of men to start drinking. Maybe this was actually an anti-prohibition ad made by the liquor industry...I bet it sold a lot of alcohol!

Very funny! You know, my favorite historical "fun fact" about the Temperance Movement is that apparently after a long day of protesting alcohol, the ladies were partial to winding down at the local soda fountain for a Coca Cola. And of course, back then, the Coca Cola was a little peppier than the current formula, if you catch my drift. I guess if it wasn't for double standards, people would have no standards at all...
It has been purported that the picture is one that was taken in mockery. It might be that the ladies were actually men dressed up for the picture.
I surely hope that picture was taken in mockery as no version of beer goggles could turn that bunch into beauties!
