Had him using one of my Gem's, had him looking and talking about different soaps..........Then Wal-Mart got him with the Wilkinsons sword. He saw the tech3 and cheaper cartridges and I lost him. I was SO close!
You got closer than I ever have with my father. He's been using an electric for well over 50 years, and he refuses to even consider a DE. He says, "you can't beat the shave an electric gives" and in no way will he change. Oh well, at just shy of 89 I guess he's pretty well set in his ways.
Not everyone is cut out for wetshaving. It's likely that at some point in your father's life DE's were the only game in town, and like most men shaving with the cart razors these days, he hated shaving. My dad is the same way, no desire to give it a shot...
All is not lost though! Find another hobby or interest that he is more receptive with, and spend time together doing that. Life is way to short, I do my best to get quality time with my pappy every chance I get.
My project is my wife. She already has a few DE's, and I'm currently working on converting her to the straights.
