Sneakers/Trainers - What are you wearing?

Looking to get a new pair before my holiday, currently my go to pair are a pair of Nike Commands.



I have heard good things about Onitsuka Tiger, but have personally never owned a pair. Has anyone here?

Will be interested to see what are your favourites and most worn.

My last additions in the category (casual/trainers) were:

Milwaukee Bucks Brandon Jenning´s: Under Armour


And Reebok´s Zig Pulse Black instinct Blue


Both are excellent. The rebook are light and easy on the foot, while the Under armor is a basketshoe, which I use in casual settings.

Better stability in the heel but alas heavier than my worn out New Balance (too worn out to make out the model).

I'm rocking my converse allstars that I've had about 7 months now. They can be worn with jeans without looking out of place (like those Nike AirMax ones above do) and they are standing the test of time considering the battering I've given them whilst out on the lash!

VFF KSO and Merrell Trail Gloves. Minimalist shoes have not only helped my foot problems, but have significantly increased the amount I can squat and dead lift.

I like Converse Jack Purcells as a casual "sneaker" along with low or high-cut Chuck Taylors.

White for heaven's sake and with a conventional canvas upper. I do not know why Converse likes to mess around with the looks of its most iconic products. Even the shoes pictured have the name across the top of the tongue, which is not the traditional style!




I want to get a pair of so-called German Army Trainers (GAT). There seem hard to find. The real surplus thing, not the designer recreations:

Nike Airmax..not sure of exact model though..

mine are blue..my wifes are green..LOVE THESE!..$140...about 6 months ago..on sale...
my previous shoes were Zig's from Reebok..wore out the bottom after about 2 years of almost everyday use
