Pretty sure I already said that on the first page John... There is a definite difference in the blade angle needed for a very keen edge. The no pressure thing you should have been doing in the first place.
Everyone adjusts their technique to the edge they're using IMO. Whether they're aware of it or not is the question - many new to the straight razor may do it automatically or subconsciously without even really noticing or thinking about it. With a less keen edge you can get away with a bit more in terms of poor angle control or applying a bit of pressure.
