Dig it!!! Just scored a '41 Ranger Tech, and a Fat Handled Tech for under $36!!!!! The seller had the idea that the Fat Handled Tech was an Aristocrat, and I don't think he knew he had a Ranger Tech there with it. It was eBay item 181094898296 . Alex, are you out there? Could you verify this is a 1941 Ranger Tech for me. I think it is, but I'm still not certain. I hope it is. Just goes to show you there are still some deals to be had on eBay. Anyway I just wanted to share my victory gentlemen. Have a great night!

The ranger tech, that's the tto shown in the pictures? if so what is the difference between that and a super speed? Iam still learning the various models so please bear with me.

Two of the most noticeable differences between a Super Speed and a Ranger Tech are the smooth band just above the TTO knob, and the lack of end caps . However the 1946 Ranger Tech does have end caps. RangerTechs ere made in both 1941 and 1946.

Thanks, noticed the smooth band when I went and looked at my no date ss. Speaking of sleeper auctions, I bidded on a long handle super adjustable that is listed funny so I might have a chance on getting it.

Well my package arrived from this seller on Friday, and just as MacDaddy said in one of his posts" Padded envelopes are of the Devil". My new acquisition arrived with my '41 Ranger Tech poking its head out of the side of an over large padded envelope, complete with a few scratches that I don't think it had when I bought it. I'm glad I didn't get the mail from the mailman that day, he would probably hold what I said about the post office against me. So anyway, despite all that I cleaned and oiled and shined it up, and now have another serviceable '41 Ranger Tech! The '40's gold fat handled tech that arrived in the same envelope also cleaned up nice, and both are now resting comfortably amidst my collection! I just wanted to share about my sleeper score, have a good day Gentlemen.
