A Parker semi slant arrived in the mail for me today. Website description says it has a brass frame. Does this mean the head is brass as well, anyone know?

I'd like to know what part of a safety razor's anatomy is the "frame." We speak of the cap, baseplate and handle on a 3-piece razor. Parker has Zamak cap and baseplate, leaving just one part (the handle) to be made in brass. My guess is that they're being a little obfuscatory, but it sounds a lot less sexy to say "brass handle."

They're not bad razors.

In this case, it means the razor has a brass handle, but the head is not necessarily brass (the head is made of plated zamak). Confusing terminology, isn't it? Probably deliberately confusing weasel words from the marketing department.

for the first day I’ll be using the Parker semi slant. To me zamak gear seems like a long term disposable item, if you will, because durability is a concern over an unknown length of time. Still works while it’s good, as is the case with this Parker.
Blade will probably be a fresh Gillette Silver Blue. Slantember On!

Gents, I’m afraid I’m going to have to bow out of Slantember. The iKon B1 was too aggressive for my needs and given that I’m committed to the September GRUME, I won’t be able to purchase the FOCS or any other in time. See you all again in 2022!

Thought I'd start the month by lighting off a shave with the only single-edge slant out there. If I had an ATT X2 I would have a razor that would fit for SLANTember, SEptember and then OCtober. And I'd probably get bored outta my skull using the same razor for two months. I've scheduled every shave this month for a different razor, splitting my attention between slants and SE types. OCD? No, C-D-O is in proper alphabetical order.
