Slant or OC Micromatic? ~

I've always been curious about the "Slant" razors but I've never owned one. (I really love the Mulcuto model I've seen photos of) I recently purchased a OC Micromatic but it hasn't arrived yet, so I haven't shaved with it yet.

So I couldn't help but wonder which gives the closest, best quality shaves? The Slant, or OC Micromatic? I realize that this is a YMMV type question, but your generalized input / opinions would be appreciated. Especially if you have owned and have used both.

OC wins for me. I have a new and a vintage Merkur, but they don't see too much action. I'm sure if I spent the time to master a slant I would get as good of results as the MM, but until then I'm not the biggest slant fan.

For me they both can provide a very close shave but the slant
give me more chance of irritation. I cant shave 2 consecutive days without pain, while the the MM is always smooth.

I suspected that the OC Micromatic might be the better shaver of the two, just based on “normal” DE razors vs. the “1912” and SE razors in general. So it’s interesting to get this input.
