Hello guys,
I'm 25 years old male and I truly believe that the reason for my skin problems is my daily routine which is not done right, so I was wondering some of you might help me. I'm a bit desperate, so I decided to try it this way, because my dermatologist tries to force me into antibiotics (which causes the consequence, not the cause) for the acne and the coesmetics I go to gives me Payot products she personally sell and she doesn't give me any deeper information and reasons behind it.
I have combined skin - oily T-zone (nose and forehead) where I usually get bigger clogged pores (blackheads) and dry and sensitive skin on my neck area, where I get red bumps and sometimes yellowheads. I also tend to get some red pimples on my chest and on my back (my back to tends to get dry, so I should moisturise I guess as well, will get to that later)
Most of the cosmetics I use is for oily skin or for dry skin, therefore it solves only half of my face and the other half is not treated well and gets worse then.
I want to get to the point where my T-zone at the end of the day is not greasy as I was about to fry some fries there and my neck is not having those red pimples, red spots and being over-sensitive and dry. I cleanse and moisturise in the morning and before bed, I use crub once to twice a week to exfoliate.
Questions:
1. Should I use different cleanser for the T-zone and other one for my cheeks and neck?
2. Should I use different moisturisers for these areas mentioned?
3. Should I use tonic or something else? Or multiple ones, again for different parts of my face?
4. Could you give me some particular products you would recommend?
5. Or could you give me at least some advice like "use rosea water, use tonicum containing this and that substance,..."?
6. Which products should I include in my skincare?
7. Do you recommend some passive-treatment? Like supplements (zinc, selenium,...)
8. Do you recommend to cleanse my back and chest area as well? And moisturise with the same thing I will use for my face? Or would you recommend something different please?
Before you ask, I use safety-razor (Mühle R89, Astra or Wilkinson blades), pre-shave I just rub some shaving cream in it's un-lathered form on my cleansed and a bit wet face, I then lather the cream in my bowl and apply it to my face), shave WTG, warm water to rinse, alumn if some cuts, if not, I rinse with cold water to close pores, use TOBS Mr. Taylor after shave balm (no alcohol), let it dry, then moisturise.
I have the shaving technique pretty well after a year into wet shaving, but even tho I tend to get some redness because my neck is overall too much sensitive and occasionaly some red-bumps occur through the next 2 days which stay and heal for like one or two weeks, because of the dryness causing it to heal slowly.
I attach some photos so you see I don't have an acne in it't true form, just some occasional little bumps. I believe it's because of not treating the skin right with my daily routine. The red bumps get more visible after hot shower or after morning.
Thanks alot for your help, I'm being really desperate and not knowing who to ask for a help.
