Sites for dating and info on razors

What sites other than Strazors do you use to get an idea of when the razor may have been made when you find a new razor.

Being absolutely new to this I'm finding Strazors doesn't have an awful lot of information and most if not all of the old companies are gone.

My Bokers have varying different stamps (tree), I have an ERN 1720 in my hand and can't find a photo of the stamp anywhere, my Wade & Butcher has no info and finally my George Johnson & Co doesn't have much either.

Thanks for tolerating all the newbie questions folks.

ERN razors are brilliant shavers. I’ve got a Eagle & Snake & just picked up a Crown & Sword for £8 in good condition.

A dB would be great but I’ve found so far you have to dig on forums a lot.

That ERN you have isn’t stamped with “Made In Germany” so it’s possibly pre 1890 (see McKinley Tariff for more on this)

I have an old barber paraphernalia collecting book that gives a nice general overview of how to ballpark date a straight razor. It doesn't go into depth with individual brands and logo markings though.

Itd hard to find a date who would be interested in talking razors
