Single Edge Sunday - What Will You Use?

It is very well made and the plating appears to be heavy. When I first saw these I imagined them as thin and cheap. Quite the opposite! I expect that they went to the bakelite handle to reduce costs.

I had the same impression and was very pleased to be proved wrong when my D showed up.

Shave 20191201

Prep/Pre-shave: Neutrogena wash then apply Cremo
Brush: Yaqi 24mm Cashmere
Bowl: Savannah Shaving Scuttle
Soap: Saponificio Varesino Dolomiti
Razor: Occam's SE Razor, Mild Head
Blade: Feather AC (4)
Post-shave: Alum, Dickinson's Witch Hazel
Aftershave Balm: Stetson w/Aloe
Aftershave: Original Stetson

WTG, ATG plus some buffing and XTG touch--up.

SAS/CCS using just the Occam's w/mild (one dot) head.

Brought out my trusty GEM Featherweight with Ted Pella GEM blade to touch-up and buff. I got the shave to a solid DFS+ but did not want to push it any further.

The combined shave had no nicks, cuts or weepers - some minor irritation.

The mild (one dot) head on this razor is way tool mild and restrained, even for me.

Occam's Razor w/one dot head: 7.5/10

Final result after buffing and touch-up with GEM Featherweight: 9+/10

Sunday shave Dec 22-2019 and it will be a Schick shave with my brought back to life E2 that was purchased in rough shape from a remote Antique shop. This razor is one of the best shavers Schick ever designed IMO for getting a close shave with a light razor. It is nimble in the hand to use, easy to clean and mid upper range IMO. What is there not to like about a E2?

Razor : Schick E2 injector Canadian variant - MFG 1930's & 40's
Blade : Personna injector (6)
Soap : Razorock Lavender
Brush : Yaqi Timber wolf 24 mm

Sunday shave Dec 29th-19, Looks like Mrs Santa gifted me with some good new Avon products for Christmas. If you like tobacco scent with some other ingredients- the brown bottle(True Gent) is a cologne with lasting power and reminds me of barber shop scents in the old days as a youth getting a hair cut.

Razor : Schick adjustable injector model 3 - MFG 1970-72- one of the best Schick razors made .
Blade : Personna injector SS PTFE (6)
Soap : Razorock Santa Marie del Flore "Firenze"-Excellent soap scent & properties IMO.
Brush : Yaqi tuxedo knot 24mm with black marble handle- very nice brush.
Preshave: Brush wash my face with CeraVe hand bar soap + a dollop of clear Aloe Vera gel on beard area.
Post shave : Alum + cold water rinse.
Post shave : Avon "True Gent" cologne with witch hazel + Avon "True Gent" balm. -Nice present this Christmas.

Sunday shave, today it's going to be my all faithful Stick Schick marathon injector with a Twin blade still giving myself excellent shaves. I like the feel of the ball at the end combined with the longer handle that Schick seems to have incorporated the longer handles in the later models for what ever reason. Great shave is the bottom line!

Razor : Stick Schick injector L type theme series - MFG 1973
Blade : Schick Twin II injector (Japanese) (27)
Soap : Italian Barber Amici
Brush : Razorock Plissoft
Preshave : Brush wash the face with CerVe hand soap + a dollop of clear Aloe Vera gel on beard area.
Post shave : Dickinson's witch hazel
Post shave : Italian barber Amici + Nivea balm.
