Good Sunday morning to you all, Thanks for all the research that got me here to these great razor forums. Gem(ASR) was not as big a name in rural Canada IMO like Schick and the giant Gillette but in the larger cities they were there no doubt.
Razor: Gem 1912 (MFG1921> this one) great razor and it does a better job than a lot of my other brands that are not Gem.
Blade: GEM Personna SS PTFE(Teflon)...
Soap: Barrister & Mann Seville
Brush : RazoRock Noir 400
Aftershave: Italian barber Amici
Balm: Nivea original

Good Sunday morning, up early today and thought I had better get the shave going.
I'm shaving with a GEM SE this morning and it's another great shave.
Pre-shave : shower & Aloe Vera gel
Razor: Gem Micromatic open comb
Blade: Gem Personna SS PTFE (6)
Brush: Razorock Plissoft
Soap: Taylor of old bond street Sandal wood
Post shave: Alum + cold water rinse (still testing MMOC for quality of shave= excellent feedback )
Post shave: Proraso Red sandal wood + witch hazel

The GEM mmoc is a fine mid range razor and will give solid great results with a good technique & along with a NEW Gem PTFE SS blade.

Preshave: Shower + aloe Vera Gel
Postshave: Alum + cold water rinse(still testing my new Gem razor results-very positive)
Postshave: Italian Barber Amci
Postshave: Nivea balm
Shaving does not get much better with good gear and hand technique thrown in to formulate a great shave.
