Although the case leaves a bit to be desired, I was finally able to get my hands on a G2 injector!
Thank you. Was just on 'that' auction site at the right time. Didn't hurt that the seller had it listed as a G3!
Really nice collection. Thanks for sharing. I have several G-1s and a 1960s PAL adjustable. After seeing your collection, I may have to get into GEM razors also.

They are cool razors. I have a couple of them but have never used them. I am not sure that my sharpening skills are up to it.
these are shave ready. I deliberately and knowingly paid a bit more so I could have them in that shape. I expect with 7 blades I’ll have a ways to go before I need to get them fully honed again (even though that won’t be the case - too many others to use).
If it’s this head, normal SE blades work great.

Just got this Starling V2 from Phoenix Accoutrements. It’s supposed to be a modern Gem razor. It comes with two plates open comb or bar.

Really cool razor. I never knew there were "injector" razors that used blades that could be sharpened and honed and used again. Do you know its approximate age?

Mine was the Wilkinson.
I was confused about whether your Wilkinson was a type of injector. I guess it isn't a type of injector since it takes usable blades that can be sharpened. Any idea of its age?
Oh, I understand now. No, it is not an injector. It is a wedge blade (think 1/2 a blade of a straight razor if you cut the razor evenly down the middle). Except you place the blade onto a handle and blade guard to make it much more like your average Gillette DE than a straight. There's little grooves in the front that seats the blade itself, and then there's a movable brace behind it that stabilizes the blade. After shaving, you release the brace so the blades comes out, then you re-strop it before you put it back in for the next day.
Believe it or not, this is the sort of thing Gillette replaced, but it is essentially the original "safety razor." Simply a smaller straight razor blade with a guard to offer a little bit of protection for the face.
