Ok,

Here is the question. Those of us that have been lucky enough to obtain one of the Simpson 90th Anniversary brushes, what are you going to do with it? I have contemplated leaving mine as a display piece. Then I say to myself, just use the darn thing in moderation in the rotation.

I want to know...Use it or save it...

I can understand saving it and not using it as there are so few, but I'm coming to realize I'd rather use what I like than to keep it in mint condition for whatever reason I choose. Thus I say use it! :001_tt1:

Personally the most appealing aspect about this hobby IS being able to use these beautiful products everyday but I'd expect the majority of these brushes to kept as show pieces, I don't expect to see them on the BST in full bloom in 6 months.

But we will see, its not my thing but I hope the owners use them.

1. It'd be a shame to have that rare 2-band hair and not use it

2. Brushes look better post bloom anyway, imo.

My first thought was why waste almost 300 dollars just to look at it. Then I realized I have some duck decoys that i paid over three times that much for, and all I do is look at those. So why not. I would probably have to use it though. I would like one, it just wasn't in the budget for this week.

There's always next week!

I would like one too, but I just don't think I could drop that kind of coin on a brush. That said, I'd certainly use it if I had one and not just sparingly. To the OP, I say go for it, then post some pics.

I doubt they will last through the weekend.

I ordered one last night with every intention of using it. It never occurred to me to leave it as a showpiece until I read this thread. Now I don't know what to do:blink:

Use it! What good is it if you don't use it? Besides it is 1 of 90 so if you take good care of it as you use it, it surely isn't going to lose any value.

I had debated it from the start due to the collectibility, but once I got the brush, I rushed right in.

I'd also say use it. I've never been one for display pieces. I've got a handful of rare pieces in other hobbies and I always use them. I take care of them, but it's a shame to not use something this nice.

I've been on the fence about ordering one of these. Nearly bit the other week, but found a superb used Plisson HMW for about the same price. Still... it is empting to grab one of these before they're gone.
