Irish Moos EDT
D.R. Harris Windsor
Giorgio for Men

I can maybe understand the flannel, but the rest? gimme a break!

So somebody please inform me on NON OLD MAN SCENTS because apparently I don't get it......

Why not bring her along & help you sniff? When you find one that puts the gleam in her eye, you've found a winner.

You can also stop by the never ending PIF thread. We're always posting samples of this or that on the board. In return, you can post some of those "old man" smells she doesn't like.

I would call those CLASSIC SCENTS besides the traditional way of shaving is sometimes teased as the "old man's" way of shaving. Will that stop U from shaving the "old man" way and go to the new way of crappy expensive cartridges???? Keep the classic scents and the traditional way of shaving my friend.

I'm with Mark. I also agree that you should take her with you to sample some different scents. I'd go to the mall and stop by somewhere like Macy's/Dillards that has a more "mainstream" perfume section as well as Nordstrom/Saks that has an emphasis on the high-end niche market. Let her find something that you love wearing and she loves smelling on you. Places like Nordstrom usually have fairly experienced sales staff that can help you guys hone in on what you like as well as providing copious amounts of samples to try before you buy.

I'm fortunate enough that my wife has enjoyed just about everything I've sampled with Hammam Bouquet and Hermes being the only cuts (I can't say I was disappointed in the HB reaction). There are a few, however, that she has truly loved and those are what I'll put on for the weekends, date-nights, or any other fuction where we will be close most of the time. The rest I rotate for the work days because I don't really care what anyone there thinks.

I just wear the stuff she doesn't like to work or when I go out somewhere without her.

How old are you? I don't think any of those scents are really "old man" ones......especially Winsod (it is just oranges and pepper). Well, the good news is that you get to go buy all new fragrances

Unfortunately, lots of people only think a scent is "youthful" or "energetic" if it is some gross aquatic that smells like bathroom air freshener.

I think your best best, as mentioned, take her to the store and try some out. As long as you can tolerate the ones she likes, wear them and make her happy. I always put the shoe on the other foot. It would be very uncomfortable for me to have a girlfriend/wife and hate the perfumes she uses.

Try a sample of something like Dior Homme Sport or Cartier Roadster. They have a bit more citrus and a bit less sage / woodsy smell. SWMBO might consider them less old manish, but there is nothing girly about them either. I like both of them. You should be able to find them at any decent department store like Nordstom, Bloomingdale's or Macy's.

I think that Grey Flannel is one of the finest scents for men out there. Giorgio is great too. Not old man scents at all. Have you ever tried Bowling Green? It's a classic scent, but one of the classics scents that my girlfriend seems to find most enjoyable. I have a couple which get scornfully relegated to "old man" status too...
