What's new

Sienna is back

I smelled the C&E line in the mall this weekend. I wasn't (and more importantly, my wife wasn't) impressed. I expected more. Now next door at L'Occitane... that's another story.

Did you smell the shave cream or the cologne. The shave cream smells different (better) than the cologne. I mix it with proraso red.

The creams and soaps they had out. Smelled Sienna, Nomad, Lime, and something else. None of it really impressed me (or my wife, more importantly).

I've got a three tube set coming from a dude in India. I already have Nomad (which I admit is an acquired smell) and Lime, which I really like. Why aren't more shavers using the C&E stuff? I think it's pretty good stuff.

C&E isn't cheap but, other than that, I don't understand either why more people don't use it. I happen to like the Nomad, rather mild fragrance, and the cream lathers well and is slick.

I have their nomad cream. IMO unless they rename it MdC or Castles Forbes, they have priced their product out of the market.

Personally I will not be re-stocking it. I can get other cheaper creams and get similar or better performance. It is 4x the price of my palmolive cream and 10x supermax cream. And these come in bigger tubes too.

That said, I really like its "unique" scent (haven't come across another cream with similar scent).

It's definitely a niche product. I like it not only for the good performance, but for the scent. I'll keep it in my rotation!
