Sideburns

Hello.

I post in this forum since I think it's more likely people are able to do it with a straight razor then a safety one.

So, how do you guys trim your sideburns? I bet someone is doing it on their own.

Thanks,
Erik

I usually do the basic to keep it simple... I do it square (so N-S/W-E/E-W/S-N) to keep the shape on that area. I use the tip only do do so.

Yeah but I was thinking about the reducing of the "bushiness" I mean the beard on them getting longer. Are you just letting your hairdresser, barber do that with a trimmer or scissors?

I hope you understand what I mean :)

I need to take an english class!

No worries about the English classes... Same here mate...

I haven't seen a hair dresser in 15 years... Apparently, that's bad... I think the job is ok but i should go see the barber around the corner one day...

To reduce the "bushiness" of the sideburn, I use a trimmer every fortnight. I would like to look into something more "traditional" or "rustic"...

Glad I'm not alone ;)

Oh, my girlfriend is a hairdresser so I'm there pretty often, going to make an appointment with a barber I know of around 240km from here just to get the feel of it, I'm such a newbie with straight razors so I need to see how they do it.

They got straight razor shaving classes aswell so I'm going to sign up for one of those to.

Ah ok well thats pretty much how I do it. Yeah that is what I thought I would find out. I wonder what they did before the trimmers was born

I have an electric beard trimmer, but I mostly use a pair of scissors. I'm also working on a restore of some manual, vintage barber clippers. should be fun!
