I got a new (well, new to me) desk this weekend.

It has a drawer under the seat and I ordered an inkwell off of ebay to complete the set.

It's adult sized. It came out of a high school.
No carvings and no gum. Must have been in the classroom of a teacher with a hard stare.

You're going to need some dip pens and nibs when that inkwell arrives. And how is your penmanship? It really wouldn't be right to sit at and use that desk without learning some classic form of penmanship like Spencerian or Copperplate.

I did order an oblique pen and a handful of nibs, and I am indeed trying to learn Spencerian script.
My penmanship however is still on par with a drunken squirrel's.

My inkwell showed up. There is no maker's mark on the desk but the ink well fits so well that I bet the desk has to be made by American Seating as well.

That's cool! Enjoy it. I just bought a little (tiny) writing/laptop desk a few days ago (modern made shaker style desk). I'll post a pic once I get moved into our new place and have it set up.
