I quit smoking some years ago, but I still often carry a Zippo lighter with me. I thought it would be fun to start a thread where you other guys who carry one can show it off, especially if it has been personalised or has a story behind it. I know a lot of you collect them, but this thread is more about the one you tote every day. Old faithful.

This is mine. The medal on the front is actually an old ride token from an amusement park here called Luna Park. It was one of my favourite places when I was little.

Very cool, David! The token really shows the personality. Can't wait to see what others will post. I'll snap a pic of my EDC tonight.

Here's a pic. of my Zippo 1935 replica and a vintage Ronson. The Ronson is my "dress" lighter and the Zippo is my EDC. Nothing really special about the Zippo except as a testimonial to Zippo's excellent customer service.

A short time after I got the replica, with the weaker, old-style outside hinge, I was doing Zippo tricks with it like I used to do with the stronger inside hinge models. Apparently I broke the cam plate that lets the cam hold the lid shut. The lid wouldn't stay closed so I sent the entire lighter back to Zippo. They quickly returned it with a brand new insert, along with the old insert. No charge and no questions asked.

Birthyear Zippos? Oh my, I thought it ended with Super Speeds....

Nothing special, just a Zippo I got off Amazon when I started this hobby

Was it new when you got it? Either way, it stands as a testament to how absolute rock solid these guys are.

It was, I bought it in 96 when I was 16 years old and looked old enough to buy lighters and the such. It used to have a lacquer coating on it that started to flake a few years after I got it so I stripped it to the bare copper.

It looks very unique and well-worn (in a good way). Thanks for sharing, Dave!
