Post #17 sadly no close up shots though.
Gotcha. The cased standard Toggles D1s? The cased Serial Toggle is gorgeous. We certainly need close-ups of that baby.

As for the 3 piece Gillettes...I'm willfully ignorant. [emoji16] I started with adjustables and went to moderns.

Did you order a Janus?

Both D-1's yup. Here is a link to some from earlier this summer:

No I didn't. Thought about it though, I respect the hard work that went into it but my heart lies with vintage razors.

Anyone used both the open comb and solid base plate for timeless Ti ?

Much difference to the shave with the open comb??

Speaking of the Janus Toggle: First to get their Limited Edition should start a separate thread. Post them here too of course but they deserve a separate thread to honor the dedication of the creator. Incredible effort has been put toward creating them and the owners of the 51 Limited Edition will have a very special razor.

I used this, this morning.

Personna Micrometric.
The original handle was bought cracked, which suited me perfectly.

Very nice. How heavy is that Timeless set? Looks hefty.
It is quite a weighty razor. Of all the DE's I have owned it is the heaviest. It is very comfortable to use. I liked it so much I sold off everything but the aristocrat.

SCALLOPED CAP: Weight 14.1 grams

BASE PLATE: SB 27.4 grams OC 30.5 grams

STAND: 141.1 grams

HANDLE: 14 mm diameter x 85 mm Length 84.7 grams

That means the open com is 6 + oz or 175+ grams for the razor alone with out the stand.
