Show me those beautiful scales!

These are by Mark Yundt, aka @mycarver - A cleanup of a pair of 1850s Touron Parisot and a re-scale of Le Grelot Lotus in ivory back in the day. Both in their original dresser cases.

Pardon my drooling. I am now scowling at several specimens hanging in my den (particularly a strangely pinned Wacker and a troublesome French horn :p ) That honey horn is wow. But so is the spalted maple. The list goes on; so many beautiful scales. More! :)

Tanifuji Favorit 3000 in the last piece of ivory that I got before the ban, it was near the outside of the tusk and has ‘bark lines’ showing, and those lines have some magenta and turquoise in them. The schreger lines are beautiful and have waves in them, and of course Alfredo did his usual marvelous work.

So many gorgeous scales Steve, but for my money...Tanifuji in ivory takes the cake. I may have to start hunting for some of those mammoth scales, which I believe are outside the ban. Favorite indeed.
