Should I be concerned?

I purchased some creams, sticks, blades, and aftershaves from BestShave.net on July 5th. It all was processed, sent and delivered to New York on July 18th

It's been sitting there ever since. Called USPS and they don't have any more info. Is it normal? Am I impatient? Should I file a claim? If so, where and with whom? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

It is a very long time if you are in the US and it should have reached you by now. I get things in about 3 days from the NY sorting facility when it comes in from abroad - I'm in Nebraska. Having said that, I've received things up to three weeks later - with no update in tracking (the tracking still showed it in NY).

Assuming you are in the U.S., you may need to take the numbers to the Post Office and file a claim - you can call your local office and see what they need. There is a waiting time (forgot what it was) before they will process anything.

I'm in Australia and I ordered some stuff from California. I'ts been about 4 weeks and the item was last reported at the LA sorting office.
Aust post here told me that shipments from there can sometime take three months. I know of similar stories from others too. Funny, I had a razor from the UK sent off to me on the 27th of July - Got it yesterday afternoon. You can never tell how things will turn out.

It may be worth your while following LKs advice.

Ironically, I placed an order at shaving.ie and I'm in almost the same boat you're in.

My tracking info says that it was processed through the New York sort facility on July 19th at 9:41 PM, very similar to yours, and still no sign of it at my doorstep

I understand packages take some time to get processed through customs when it comes from overseas, but after it shows up as being processed through the New York sort facility, you would think it would only take a day or two past that to reach its destination and it's been 11 business days.

I think I might be following up with USPS tomorrow about this issue.

My best shave package came today. I ordered it about a month ago. It'll come, just takes quite a while for some reason.

I'm on the same boat waiting on some blades nd other goodies from bestshave but I haven't waited as long... I ordered my stuff on July 22nd and the tracking says processed through ISC on August 2nd. Im hoping it gets here this week.

Same exact thing happened to me . Package said NYC for over two weeks , the day I email best shave it showed up . No tracking update at all .

USPS only posts the updates when it arrives in the US and when it arrives at your doorstep. USPS ain't BBS.

With cuts in the US Postal Service their parcels move pretty slowly these days. It's unfortunate that so many cuts have been made. I live in rural AK and some shipments have taken up to 6 weeks, but I've gotten some in just a few days. It's really hit or miss, it really comes down to if they use a 3rd party service like parcel post. They amass a large shipment over a couple days then send it out to cut cost, but in return the shipping times are increased. I figure if the shipping is free I can wait.
