Shoes with Seersucker?

I was wondering what you guys think. What color shoes go with Seersucker suit? I am talking about the blue seersucker. Is seersucker a pattern or color or both. Thanks for the help.

Is seersucker a pattern or color or both.

Seersucker is all-cotton fabric, which is woven to produce smooth and rough stripes. Although most common is blue and white stripes it is also avaliable in other colours and patterns. You may also find plain coloured fabrics, but they are fairly uncommon.

As for shoes, I think Sal's recommendation is good. These might also work, but they are a bit dandiesque. :001_rolle

+2, White Bucks is THE classic for wear with a seersucker suit. I still have mine, but not the suit, but someday....

White bucks or bone/navy saddle oxfords are what seersucker was made for. The classic oxblood Bass Weejun loafer is another good choice. Avoid cap toe or wingtip oxfords (except for a fine looking two-tone as pictured above). Waaay to much of a conflict in style

I'd go spectators like this or white/navy saddles.

Really, just co-ordinate the darkness or lightness of your shoes to your overall outfit. There's a lot of white in seersucker, so you are typically looking at a lighter-coloured shoe.

The fabric does come in many different colours, although some are more common/popular than others.

You know I don't think I've ever seen anyone wear one as a suit. The few owners I know break them up a separates. I guess if you are wearing them as a suit I'd go with dirty bucks (I think white bucks with seersucker can seem like a costume). Light tan shoes can work as well.
