How's the hand on these Chris? I tend to prefer my Orvis Signature twills because of their heavy hand, but have heard good things about the Tyrwhitts (just haven't been able to feel one for myself).

Great shirts, great service and sales all the time. This is the only place I buy shirts anymore. Best part is that I wear their XXLs which are almost always in stock.

They are not "heavy" or "thick" shirts. They are significant cotton but the ones I have have an almost satiny feel. That's why I love them. High quality cotton and lots of it but they feel soft and luxurious. But they have several different types--broadcloth, Oxford, etc. to choose from.

They also have double collars, reinforced cuffs and the aforementioned brass collar stays--which sound awesome banging away in the tumble dryer.
