Shipments of goodies into the USA

Been looking around at all the neat stuff I gotta have...

Is it a hassel having items shipped into the US from say England or something? Are most vendors receptive to shipping overseas?

While I have never ordered anything shave related from overseas, I have had lots of goodies sent over from Europe. In my experience most vendors are more than happy to accommodate and you should have little trouble.

Getting things sent into the U.S. is cake compared to sending stuff out. When I lived in the E.U. every package I got was thoroughly rifled through and assessed VAT.

If you have any doubt, just send the vendor an email. Should clear things up quite quickly.

As long as you're paying the shipping, I don't imagine it'd be a problem. Like fijiblue said, just ask the vendor. Enjoy your "goodies"!

As long as you are only buying $100 or less at a time you should be OK. More than $100 may have duties attached which you would pay at the post office when you pick up the package. Most vendors with a website will ship to the US, my understanding is that US customers are most of Bestshave's (Turkey based) and Connaught's (UK based) business.

I've ordered many things from the US in my time and usually end up paying even more to UK customs and excise for the privilege. Any saving I had made usually got negated by them.

No hassles except waiting for your order to arrive; depending on the shipping chosen, time of year (holiday season) and the mood of Customs, shipping time is mostly three weeks or less. I've received orders as fast as 7 shipping Days and as long as ~23 Shipping Days.

He's in the States, no duties are normally charged, I've had orders over $100.00 without any charges to pay.

Yeah, we've had international mail service for a couple centuries now, it's really not that big a deal to order stuff from Europe. In fact, given the great exchange rates now, this is probably THE time to do so!

I will remember that. The tourist pamphlets Customs puts out say that you may ship up to $100 a day into the US without duty charges. I haven't tried to ship more into the country at one time so all I could go by was their information. Thanks for the post.

what I understood was that so long as its for personal use and not reslae you are fine, no duties.
what defines personal use is a judgement call.
if you order 5 different soaps a few different brushes and few different razors you will be fine.
if you order 5 soaps of the same kind, few brushes of the same kind and few razors of the same kind..you might be in trouble.

Good deals on MdC right now - just picked up a 170 gram jar. A potential decline in the Euro may be an unintended boon to shaving products (minus the other ramifications, of course)
