Shiney pants

I have some Michael Kors navy blue chinos i'm rather fond of. Unfortunately they have shiney lines where pocket seams have been ironed over. Is there an easy way of getting rid of these 'marks???' Or is it time to bin them?

are you using starch or have you worn down the material over the course of many ironings?

wash and dry, if they still show, lightly scuff/abrade the shiny areas to loosen/break up the threads. if that fixes it, just steam those areas in the future.
