Shavus Interruptus

I made a big mistake yesterday and wanted to caution others.

I had just lathered my face, and I got an important phone call that I needed to take. I put my cell phone to my left ear and couldn't hear a thing. Naturally, there was lather all over it. So, I wiped the phone off and then enough lather off of the left side my face so I could talk easily.

I sat down at my desk and the conversation went on for about an hour.

During the conversation I noticed that as the lather dried, it seemed as if I were in a snow storm. Little flecks of lather drifting around my face on to my desktop.

After the conversation, I resumed the shave, but I tried to revive the lather that was still in the bowl. Big mistake. I should have just started over.
The lather was still quite foamy but cold. And to compound things, it was a new Feather in my Gillette, open comb New.

My face is quite a mess today. I have to give the Feathers credit in that the damage they can do, is well hidden by how easy and unnoticed they can slash you.

So, if you get interrupted for more than about 30 seconds, start over.
Your face will thank you.

Yes, it's not only the lather, your prep needs to be re-done!

Oooo ouch ouch ouch!
Yup dry lather is not good! As a woman I shave my legs and I like leg lathering because I can do it in sections and not have lather in a bowl going dry as I lather and shave bit by bit.

My wife does the exact same thing for the same reasons. There's just alot more surface area to shave than on your face. Blades don't last her as long as they last me either.

Same thing happened to me a couple weeks ago and I made the same mistake you did OP. I'll never do it again either!

Well, it was a serious discussion with a 22 year old niece in her last year at University, who had taken a liking to the dark side.

So close to graduation, 2 more semesters and she will be done.

I think she is back on the path.

And yeah, I confess to being a sloppy latherer. I smear the stuff all over and it tends to get in my ears.

What ??? You don't shave your ears ???

Wow...All I can say is holy moly!!! and ouch, ouch, ouch!!! Man, oh, man...I just dont know what to say...I am rarely left speachless.
