Shaving stores in Phoenix?

Hey everyone,

I am traveling to Phoenix for a couple of days and I was wondering if anyone here knows of any shave related stores I could visit while I'm there? Or any other places of interest besides the obvious tourist attractions, especially places to eat. Suggestions?

Thanks,
Joe

There are also two AoS stores in the area (Scottsdale Fashion Square & Chandler Fashion Center).

Be aware of the hours of operation for WSP in Chandler if you go there. (M-F 10-4; Sat 10-3) You can get just about anything they make/sell, but the retail section is a smaller place. (According to their website, they will give tours when they're open - though I didn't take one when I was there.) I believe they sell most of their stuff via the internet & so the retail section is fairly small. (I think most of their square footage there in Chandler is dedicated to manufacturing, packaging, & shipping.) It's still a cool place to go, but just be aware that they don't have hours like a retail store in a local mall.

Romanovs and Wet Shaving Products are good places.

There are loads of good restaurants in the area. Where in Phoenix will you be staying and what kind of foods do you like?

Thanks for all the responses guys.

I will be in Chandler /phoenix and Black Canyon. I like all types of food, Italian, steak you name it.

Great. For steak I like the Keg. There is one in Chandler and in Gilbert. Another good steak house is DC Steakshouse in downtown Chandler. For a treat sit at the bar and watch one of the bartenders perform magic tricks. I have been only a foot away from him and can't figure out how he does it. For Mexican food, I like Serrano's also in downtown Chandler. For pizza I like TonySacos and Grimaldis. For Italian food Pestos in Chandler is good and Arrivederci in Scottsdale is great (I ate there last night.) For Chinese food, the Singing Panda is a fun place (singing at times including an Elvis impersonator) and the food is very good. It's in Chandler. In Phoenix there is a Thai restaurant called the Wild Thaiger which is very good. For breakfast there is Matt's in Phoenix, Over Easy in a few towns, and The Breakfast Club.

For things to see, the Desert Botanical Garden in Phoenix is great. If you are into gambling there are plenty of Casinos around. The Phoenix zoo is great as is the Heard museum. If you have the time, a trip to Sedona and the Grand Canyon is great.

Wow thanks @ackvil I plan to try everyone of those places! Not all in one sitting though. I travel to Phoenix about 4 times a year. I'll chip a away at that list.

I just looked at The Keg's menu. The filet with applewood smoked bacon and truffle macaroni and cheese caught my eye.:eek2:

Their prime rib is excellent, too.

Yes it was! This was probably one of the best prime rib 's I have ever had. Thanks again.

Let me help you with the spelling. Rubinov's Here's the address. 8530 N 7th St, Phoenix, AZ 85020 There is also Mexican torta shop close by. Torta is a mexican steak sandwich. It was featured on the travel channel. Los Reyes de la Torta. This would be good for lunch.

Try a Sandwich Fit for a King
Thanks. I'd blame autocorrect, but since I haven't actually been there yet, I'll just take the blame. Not sure if anyone mentioned it, but I think there's also a shavingcreams.com storefront inside the Cigar King in Scottsdale.

For a top notch steak house you could try either Mastro's City Hall in Scottsdale, or Durant's in central Phoenix. Never been there, but I read a lot of good review of the Stockyards Steakhouse. It's close to Sky Harbor airport. For good Italian and won't break the bank, find a Carrabas or Bucca Di Peppa.
If you plan to do some shopping, visit Arizona Mills, also has a large movie theater, including Imax. Old Town Scottsdale is a great experience. Tons of shops of all sorts and restaurants. There is an old fashion ice cream shop on the corner as you enter Old Town.
