Shaving someone else, how difficult can it be?

OK, I bottled shaving my bro with the SR I gave him last week and simply supervised but seriously how difficult is it to shave someone else?

I think the difficulty would be the missed feedback from the skin. It seems to me I can feel if I'm doing something a little wrong by the feeling of the razor on my skin.

Dunno. Probably hurts less when you mess it up.
I'd say-LOL
It seems like it would be easier, to me.
Skin stretching and angles would certainly be

True.

Give it a try and reports back. Make them sign a waiver-LOL

Tried shaving my GF's legs when she was interested in learning and the lack of feedback makes it a bit harder, but keeping angles is easier.

I always shave my wives legs, that's easy. Last week I told a coworker that if he didn't shave tomorrow I would do it for him and he seemed to like that.
So I brought my kit to work, straight razor, strop, soap, brush, after shave etc. I figured it would be easier than shaving myself because I don't have to look in the mirror but I quickly came to the conclusion it was not.
I was scared as hell to cut him up, his beard was very course and it felt strange shaving someone else for the first time. I very much missed the feedback I have when I shave myself.
I managed to shave him without cutting him up but it was not the best shave ever (missed a few spots).
After this I let him choose what after shave (aqua velva, tabac or florida water). He choose the florida water and when applied liberally he screamed like a pig (I enjoyed that).
It was a fun experience but you should really think twice before doing this kind of stuff!!!

I've shaved the wifes legs, that was easy. I also talked my son into letting me shave his face, not so easy. He has a very course beard and suffers from acne on his neck. When I was done with him he had a few bleeders and some razor burn. It was good practice for me but not a good experience for him. He swears that will never happen again.

I was actually toying with the idea of opening a barbers shop. I currently manage a department in a financial services company so it'd be a huge change. Don't think I'll ever actually do it but what better way to combine hobby and work? I was thinking of offering a restoration/re-sale service for straights that customers could then leave at the shop and then I'd shave them with it but having read about the health and safety issues I reckon it's probably a no-goer. In any case I'm a dreamer, lots of wonderful ideas come to me like this one and never come to anything - when I started making my own beer I wanted to open a brewery too and even looked in to following a special brewery management course down the road.
Guess I get carried away fairly easily.
In any case the brewery would mean less blood letting than a barbers shop and probably more profitable - one for the future.

Thanks for the amusing feedback, at first I thought that Puerco had offered to shave his colleague's legs until I got a little further into his post.
In any case I might give it a go on my mother-in-law, she certainly could benefit from a close shave and who would know if I just slipped whilst ATG on her neck? It was an accident, your honor.

As an RN, I've probably shaved hundreds of other faces. I was in my late 20's when I first did this, and had no experience with wrinkles, but I learned quickly. Hospitals used to buy disposable plastic, dull DE razors. Some nurses bought their own disposables. It's actually not that hard after a couple of times. Every face is different, of course, and some have so many nooks and crannies you really must allot a good chunk of time to do it properly. For me, the worst part was always leaning over the bed to do it carefully. It's awkward, and often caused my back to stiffen up. That said, it never failed to make the man feel just a little bit better for the day.

You made me spill my beer through my nose, thanks a lot :lol1:
I shave my wife's legs and I shaved my own legs for a long time when I was doing bicycle racing but I'm not touching another guys legs...

Dont worry about justifying yourself, I know what my libertine Dutch neighbours are like!

My dad said back in the day they had barber colleges (still do I imagine), and they wouldn't let you shave a customer until you could shave an entire balloon without popping it. The idea is a light touch, shave the hair not the skin and easier said than done I imagine with someone else but practice until perfect. So if you're thinking about shaving someone else use the balloon method! lol
