Shaving frequency

Is it ok if I shave once a week with a DE razor? Will the blades cut a 1 week beard better then Gillete? I don't have much of a beard and this way I can change blade less often(I am planing on buying Sputnik blades from a Romanian site, they come 25 in a package at a very low price).

The longest I have gone without shaving is 5 days. However, I used a sharp blade (Gillette Black) without issue. The shave was uneventful.

I shave anywhere from everyday to once a week, depending on circumstances. I can tell you from my experience that a DE will mow down a weeks growth with no noticeable effort. My set-up may be different than yours, but if I tried to shave a weeks worth of beard with a cart razor, I'd have to do 3 passes and that cart would be done. I get at least 3 shaves from my DE blades, sometimes 5. When it starts to tug, it's time to renew.

The hairs on your face will be the same to the razor after 1 day or 1 month - just longer.

I shave BBS 7 days a week.

De blade's clog less, you should be sweet as they tug less too, might take a few passes tho.

Some are much better at getting through long beards than others. I find the open-comb razors better suited for the task. Enjoy your shave!
