Shaving cream, which can be purchased at the nearest store.

Hello!I'm interested in what shaving creams can be found in stores near your home? I would appreciate it if you could share photos and your impressions of the products you have purchased.

In brick and mortar stores in walking distance from me is:
-Sanofi Shave (used to be Fauldings Shave)
-Palmolive (if they have it in stock)
-Nivea Sensitive
I like Palmolive the best, the Sanofi Shave smells nice but doesn't produce a great lather and dries very quickly, and I'm not a fan of the Nivea Sensitive smell (or the dimethicone).
That is just mainsteam supermarkets and chemists, not specialist stores.
I live in walking distance of a hairdresser supply store, and they have Wahl shaving cream, I haven't tried that yet. If I go further (ie need to take a train or a tram) to specific stores, I can get Proraso. I have seen ARKO creams at barber shops and some other stores, but that's a rarity and not near me, I usually have to buy that online. I can also get Oriental shaving cream from another barber supply store, they make it themselves.

Within walking distance I assess to Palmolive and Proraso.

In town there is a Truefitt & Hill Boutique and a barber that stocks DR Harris, SMN, Castle Forbes, Speick and a few others. I’ve also seen Arko and Tabac at a couple of Chemists.

There is an online shop that others free pickup from their warehouse in the suburbs. The have pretty much everything else that you could ever want or need.

It seems that Nivea products can be found on all continents except Antarctica. This cream is also available for purchase in Russian stores.

I'm quite fortunate that my local shaving shops are TOBS, GFT, D R Harris and T&H as Jermyn Street and St James St is about a 45 minute walk away. The creams I've tried perform very well but I do prefer a hard puck of TOBS Sandalwood. To my nose it is perfection :)

Indeed, the range of shaving products in stores may vary from country to country. For example, there are no shops in my city where you can buy goods from Arab countries.

I used to have Imperial Shaving within walking distance and they had everything you mentioned here. Unfortunately, they closed and it’s back to online for me.

Went to an Italian independant grocer, and took a snap of the shaving creams they have for anyone curious. They are a few suburbs over so not in my neighbourhood.

Palmolive for $2.75 (they had a lot of this), Shave (currently marked with a company called AFT, previously Sanofi and before that Fauldings), and Proraso Green tube $14.99 or $16.79 depending on which tag you read (my usual place has it for $8.99, but most grocers don't have Proraso at all so this is still a rarity), as well as tubs of soap, $5.25 for a small tub (good price), and large tubs for $14.99 (not awful, my regular place has them for $10, but the going rate online seems to be $16-18, but you're better off getting two small tubs at this place). Aftershaves where Brut, Imperial Leather, Nivea Sensitive and Proraso Green (yes, for $28).

Not within walking distance since I’m in a US suburb but cery close drive gets me Proraso cream, taconic shave. They recently had these Proraso gift sets in stock and I really really don’t need one and trying desperately not to buy one. But…..

Monaco’s in Camberwell?

Piedimonte's IGA in North Fitzroy (incidentally just up the road from Turnleys who make the Oriental shaving cream). I haven't heard of Monaco's, I'll check them out next time I'm in that area. I usually get my Proraso stuff from Mediterranean Wholesalers in Brunswick.

Local store… Cremo. TRC is a 35ish minute drive away, and that is where I have gotten the majority of my shaving products.

I can get a great shave with Cremo, though.

It occured to me that The Body Shop still has stores in Australia (Unlike in the US), so their Maca Root & Aloe shaving cream is still available, I've been thinking about picking up a tub.
