This is my third but by far the best shaving bowl I have, both in looks and performance. Captains' Choice heavyweight copper.
When you see your Barber doing it daily for a living then it can’t be that wrongWhat? Natural? Obvious? I only heard about bowl lathering ~13 years ago here on B&B. And I don't practise it. I have been shaving for 35 years. I tried bowls a couple of times some 10 years ago, but this is more time consuming for me. Heck, I am even not a big fan of the soaps in bowls, because it takes me more time to do, say, 80 whirls in the soap first.
Hmm? The only one I pictured was a Timeless bowl in gray. They're a rubbery plastic.I like bowl lathering, although once I have my lather, I will sorta circle the lather brush on my face for a bit too, currently going back and forth between a db scuttle and a fine bowl. I ordered a pereira bowl for its higher walls.
Hey @Ad Astra is that one of those marble bowls? and its got a bit of a roughed up inside? How do you like it?
You sure that ain't the lens off an old VW Super Beetle headlight?Hmm? The only one I pictured was a Timeless bowl in gray. They're a rubbery plastic.
I generally use metal bowls, they hold heat.

Scuttles are a big game changer!!! I use a kitchen water heater with a narrow curved spout set to 156 degrees to fill a QSHAVE scuttle, to bloom Mitchell's Wool Fat soap in a separate container and fill a small plastic coffee cup to pre-heat a synthetic brush. It is like shaving in heaven! Then I discovered a scuttle... Oooooooh... Warm lather.

It was a little too smooth though and I added about 20 silicone glue dots into the pattern. It's been over 2 years of regular use and it is holding up perfectly... none of the dots have come off and it whips up a mean lather.
