Shavemac d01 2 Band is a Different Animal

Got my d01 a couple of days ago from Bullgoose. It is a bulb shape 24mm knot with a 46mm loft. The thing is extremely dense, more dense than my Chubby 2 in best. With all I have read I expected it to be quite scritchy until broken in. Well I have used it twice and get close to no scritch out of it. It's scrubby as can be but no scritch! This makes me very happy because I am not a fan of scritch. The flow thru is not good right now but I figure that will improve as the knot loosens up. Just wondering if anyone else has had the same experience?

I had a 2band 25mm with a 46mm loft, also scrubby in a good way, flow thru was good, great brush for face lathering! It's however on it's way to a new owner as I have seriously cut into my shaving gear as of late. Give it a couple of weeks and it will become a whole other brush.

I have a DO1 2 Band and the flow through is horrible. I keep hoping it will get better but after about 30 shaves not much improvement yet.

My D01 hasn't got the best flow through but I still love the brush.
Nothing better when it hits the face and starts to swirl around.

I think you said it perfectly correct:
"It's scrubby as can be but no scritch!"
One of the reasons I have now 7 Shavemac knotted brushes (finest = great value for the money; and both hair qualities of the D01's)

I have the same brush as the OP,except in 26mm knot. This brush has taken about 2 months of constant palm lathering to begin to get this brush in shaving-shape. I believe this brush will be one of my favorites very shortly.
