Shavemac 26mm

Anyone have a Shavemac 26mm? I'm interested in purchasing one instead of a Chubby 2. Any thoughts?

Depends....If you want a similar hair quality, density, softness, and backbone as a current production Chubby 2 Super (3 band) in a Shavemac, the D01 hair is the only thing that comes close.

However, the D01 hair seems to bloom more than other knots. For example, the "face feel" of my D01 with a 21mm knot/48mm loft is similar to my Chubby 2 3 band super. Except the Chubby has a bit more backbone.

Both are awesome....it really boils down to preferences.

I have a 25 mm Shavemac, and I hardly use it--it is just too big to suit me. It is a fine brush, though, and I'd buy a Shavemac again, just in a smaller knot size.

I would be considering the Shavemac 26mm in Silvertip $108 from Westcoast Shaving compared to the Simpson Chubby 2 Best $150 from Lees Razors. Seems like they similar brushes...

Not sure if the Shavemac 26mm has the D01 hairs, would the D01 be custom?

I have a Shavemac 21mm in Finest and I really like it...I recently got a Chubby 3...man it's a King Kong brush...really need a cereal bowl to lather up...it cool but a HUGE difference to what I was used to. So now thinking of getting something in between...I would like to buy a Shavemac but I don't really hear much about the larger Shavemacs...I want to work my way up to the Chubby 3...thanks for the input everyone.
