Just thought I'd share my experience. The other night I let my wife shave me for the second time. It was a very intimate and enjoyable experience.
She's encouraged this habit as long as it doesnt go overboard. I even got her some KMF for the shower but she hasn't used the razors yet, maybe this will get her used to it.
The way I'm going about it is to let her choose all the products to use. The first two, I suggested the razor but after this I will let her pick. For the first shave a few weeks ago she used my newly acquired Damaskeene with Poraso red. For this latest shave she used my EJ89 with AoS Sandalwood soap. She hasn't done it enough to tell me which razor she likes the best yet. I have others she can choose from next time. A few observations:
1. This gives her the best idea of the soaps to both decide what she likes me to use and maybe for her as well. Far more than when i shove a brush at her face and say "SMELL THIS!" After this shave she opened and smelled every single one to think about what to use next. I think I also have more aftershaves in my future.
2. She was much better the second time even though we switched razors and the technique was different. One factor I think was the Damaskeene needed a fresh sharp blade. The EJ had an already broken in blade so there were less weepers.
She really likes doing it so i shouldnt be hard to make it a regular thing. Once she gets through more of my existing collection I'm going to order some soap and cream samples from a variety of places for a wider selection. After that who knows, maybe a brush for the shower? Then....Profit?!?!?
