Shave Deluxe/Baby Oil/Mineral Oil

I was in Whole Foods, and found Shave Deluxe. It's 3/8 oz. and cost around $5.

I used Shave Deluxe as a pre-shave oil, rather than an end product for shaving, which is what they suggest you do. Merker HD, 2x Feather Blade, and Col. Conk's Lime Glycerine Soap did the heavy lifting.

After 2-3 passes, I rinsed (hot water), and used Shave Deluxe again for a polish pass and fine tuning. Then a cold water rinse, and Thayers Non-Alcohol Skin Toner.

I got a memorable shave, and recommend the Shave Deluxe/Thayers combo.

But I read here on B&B people are using baby oil to the same effect. Then it occurred to me mineral oil, which can be taken internally, might also be an answer.

Does anyone have anything to say about SD/BO/MO?

I tried mineral oil. As far as the shave goes, it was just fine. However... it did tend to gunk up my razor. In terms of comparison to baby oil or another oil (such as AOS), it definitely feels thicker.

I use the Pacific Shave Co. oil and One Planet shave oil both are 100% natural, inexpensive and work really well. At first I was applying the shave oil after my shower right before i lathered up and i wasn't at all impressed with the results. i did some research and tried a different method. I wash my face and apply the oil right before I get into the shower. I guess the hot water, steam, oil and the extra time lets the oil really soften up the beard because i now get really great irritation free shaves every time! I highly recommend trying this method.
