I shower at night before bed and shave in the morning when I wake.
This is my usual routine. However, on the rare occasion, I will shave in the shower or after the shower.
But never, just before the shower.

99.99% of the time I shower first, then shave.
Tried both ways, it didn't make a difference for me, so most of the time it's before shower. What I have been doing before shower is the moist hot towel than pre shave cream before the shave cream/soap. After shower I apply a post shave balm to moisturize my face for the day to keep that youthful handsome look.
