I find myself having to pace my shaving as far away from possible from Jiu Jitsu training just to avoid irritation. I think the feeling of a coarse gi mixed with sweat slowly scraping ATG up neck stubble from the night before feels a lot worse than actually getting choked there. It looks like of the guys at the gym shave as little as possible for that reason.
Lately I've been cleaning the neck with a little bay rum before and after hitting the mat to make sure things are as clean as possible and avoid bumps. I also usually just shave WTG when I know I'll be on the mat soon. Any other suggestions? Does anyone else's desire for a good shave ever conflict with physical exercise?
