At an antique store, I found a "Weck" brush with an unusual shape. The top is very tightly packed dark bristles (I believe badger), but the unusual thing is that the knot is flat on top (think inverted triangle). It's clear that the knot was designed that way; it's in quite good condition. I've used it several times, and it's fantastic for exfoliating. Unfortunately, the midsection of the handle is nowhere near as good as the knot, and is in fact disintegrating. I'd buy another in a heartbeat; has anyone else seen a similarly-shaped dense knot in something available today? I'd be happy to build one myself if knots like that are available aftermarket.
