What kind of blade does a shake sharp razor use? Regular SE blade with the spine? SE without the spine? Or a proprietary blade?

Regular DE blades (but only side gets used).

They also perform better with a shim. You can load it blade first then shim or vice versa. I found loading it blade first then shim is the better configuration. For the shim just take another DE blade and trim off the ends. You could also try it with 2 blades also. I never have but know of people who have used it this way successfully.
The other thing to look for with these razors is they came in 2 distinct configurations. The earlier ones had a removable cap the second iterations the cap swings open on a hinge.
