Brush: Yaqi 24mm synthetic cashmere
Razor: GC1.05 SB, Al Handle, Astra SP #4
Bowl: Turkish copper
Post-shave: Nivea Balm

Palmolive day again. I stayed with the Game Changer 1.05 plate. An easy DFS, and one pass WTG got me an acceptable neck shave.

I decided to ride the cap of the R41 GS this morning, which didn't went overly well on my soul patch area.

A lot scarier than my 1.05, then! I don't think I'll be dropping out for one.

I don't know if "scarier" is the proper wording. But it's true that the SS R41 is a shaver with significantly more bladefeel and tends to give weepers more easily than the 1.05 GC (but I'm unsure if I have ever used the 1.05 GC with a fresh Feather blade, the blade might have had its impact, too. ).

However, keeping your preferences in mind I doubt you would enjoy the R41 GS to the fullest, it's likely too much of everything (blade feel and efficiency) if you seek to continue your daily shaves.

Still in. However, my daughter is flying to Italy Tuesday and I asked her if she ventured into the Santa Maria Novella shop while in Florence to pick me up a tub of shaving cream and matching aftershave. So I may be out sometime next week. I think it will be worth it though. Have a blessed Sunday.

Thank you. I find that soap intriguing. I’ve never used Razorock soaps. At some point I’d like to give this one a try. Perhaps later this year.

Never tried the soft ones but their triple milled hard soaps, in puck or stick form, are excellent value for money ones

Stayed with the 1.05 plate, for an excellent near-BBS. That's four days in a row, and everything is still comfortable... if I can do a week, this might be my new everyday razor.

Very likely! I've got high hopes of the GC 1.05 though. After all, "it's identical to my .84 with a bit of shimming", the safety bar ones all handle the same.
