Other than weepers on a damage-prone patch to the right of my chin – yes, other than that – I recaptured the magic of this safety razor. The stubble isn’t there, but it doesn’t feel like I shaved. I think this is the addictive euphoria that guides the One-and-Done cadre to their decision. That and these sorts of shaves seem to detonate edges. Despite ending my $$$ GEM blade, it was so good (yes, I’m ignoring my self-inflicted boo-boo).

Razor: La Faulx ++
Soap: RazorRock Mudder Focker
AS: RazorRock Mudder Focker
Brush: RV Muhle STF

Really good shave. My usual Sunday morning shave I typically use SMN soap and aftershave as it’s my best performing and smelling combo. Today I tried Mudder Focker for the first time since it just arrived yesterday. I was always put off by the name so I never tried it, but all the good reviews won me over.

Well it’s fantastic soap for $10. Definitely the best RazoRock soap I’ve tried. Might even be better than most of my other soaps as well. It’s easy to lather, slick, and protective and the scent is decent as well. I like the aftershave also. Might be a tad brighter smelling than the soap but very close to the same. Lovely combo.

Still in and a BBS this AM.

Had a late night, my daughter and I went to a Megadeth concert last night. I hadn't seen them in concert in 30 years and it was my daughter's first time seeing them live. They were great and Wow, Dave Mustaine can still shred.

Now I'm set to watch a full day of NFL football!

Razor : Gem Junior bar lather catcher. Mfg 1907-11, mild range. Very easy going shave this morning. This was a popular razor for its time until the 1912 models arrived with the flip cap for securing the blade + gave Gem different ways to throttle aggression as time went on through the following decades of the different caps IMO.
Blade : Gem Personna SS PTFE(2) very sharp, excellent longevity, smooths out nicely, predictable + safest blade to handle.
Soap : Razorock Irish Countryside, nice fresh scent with excellent lather qualities.
Brush : Yaqi "Rainbow" 26mm brown whiskers synthetic.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Razorock Irish Countryside with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results : Dial 9.jpg or CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers=:a17: Had a close comfortable shave this morning with my Gem Jr bar L.C with a coated Gem blade. There was not much to shave from yesterday's very close shave!

I let the razor do the work and I used opposite hands for each side of my neck and face. I could get better at skin stretching, but under doing it was fine. Razor was louder than expected, but I think, maybe, I’m using too much pressure when it’s silent. Aftershave tingled in a few spots, but no burn or sting. AP ShaveCo Dinosaur brush was luxury applying and refreshing lather as needed.
