Getting down to the end of the Schick Timeline, today finds me with a Type D, circa 1935, the first Injector razor. Used my Rudy Vey barberstyle brush with Tabac, still a Plus Platinum Schick blade (removed to show how the D opened) from back when ..

Another decent shave. Glad the irritation from my Kampfe is going away. Makes shaving a more pleasant experience lol

I think that beautiful razor is from the Circa 1901-04 if you are wondering, the handle is a star or Kampfe brothers razor handle if you are curious.

Yeah, I think I accidentally added a decade lol

The handle is from my Kampfe, this one didn’t come with a handle so I have to mix and match when I use it.

Razorock Orange Sunrise soap
Dickinson's witch hazel for AS

  • Schick Adjustable set to 2
  • Schick Proline B-20 (3)
  • Haslinger Sandelholz
  • Casswell Massey Badger, face lathered

Effortless shave aided by great residual slickness from the Haslinger. However, I got careless with the ease of the shave and nicked myself.

One more shave in SEptember. It will probably be a repeat of today's.

Down to the basics, the ABC's if you will, though going in reverse next up is my C-1 Improved Magazine repeater. Took some time to load a modern (same old Plus Plat) blade and this gives a nice, moderately aggressive shave. I have always wondered that these aren't all rotted out inside with all that mechanism where water could get to it ..

Another B&B classic brush, the original Chief stirred up some C&S No.88 ..

SEptemper, Sunday 29 -I have been testing my oldie Goldie a Valet Auto strop C1 Canadian version. This is the closest to Straight razor or Shavette in my collection. The C1 can deliver a nice shave or ...... depending on the hand technique that morning . I find a 3 pass with a clean up too much for myself, A Two pass with a clean up about right with this razor.

Razor: Valet Auto-strop C1 Canadian version with smaller modified gap(.007-.008 thousands inch) MFG 1928-30's
Blade : Gem SS PTFE (2) modified for the Auto-strop blade holder.
Soap: Italian barber Amici
Brush : Razorock Noir 400
Pre shave :Wet Brush wash the face with CeraVe soap
Post shave: Alum + cold water rinse
Post shave :Amici A.S with witch hazel+ Nivea balm
Results: CCS,DFS,BBS + Alum indicated above normal irritation = :wink2:

Blade: Schick
Brush: Rubberset 200-5 with Maggard 30mm SHD
Soap: GD Cottails Redux
Pre: GD Unscented+Cooling
Post: Alum, Thayer's, Skin Bracer, Nivea Unscented Balm

This razor works much better with a modern blade. The Krona's that I have been using just don't seem to work as well in this razor. But, got a nice shave with a wonderful razor.

Nice, better picture than I had dreamed up for The B-Day .. Wonder what other blade you've tried other than "modern"?

The only other blade I’ve tried in this is the Krona. I’ve been using a Schick Carbon in my type-A just havnt tried it in my Type-B yet.

A great send off to September. I always forger how nice it is to shave with the Jr. Bar. Nice smooth shave, except for the cut on my upper lip (razor slipped to far down, doh!). I only started shaving with SEs last month, and this month has really taught me a lot on how to handle these wonderful razors. I'm looking forward getting back to my straights and de's but these will always be in my rotation.

Well made it through another SEptember.
