Wow what a shave! I used a schick injector blade that kinda of fits. It's just not long enough but you can tighten the blade in and is shaves great. It's as aggressive and smooth as a Clug Pruf, sounds like a 1912, and maneuvers like a schick injector. What a great shave, this razor really could be a daily driver.

Another new SE to me at least .. looks a little bit like the Christy

I had some slight razor rash this morning after yesterday’s shave with my Schick Adjustable set to 4. I think the razor was so mild, I must have applied some pressure to try & compensate.

Today I used my GEM Heavy Flat Top (a.k.a GEM G-Bar). I have only used this razor once before & it was a pretty underwhelming experience, with the shave being neither smooth, nor close. I loaded up a new GEM stainless & proceeded to shave with pretty low expectations. I was surprised to find that this time round, the G-Bar was very smooth in use & gave a very close shave, at least the equivalent of my Ever Ready Jewel.

The design of the G-Bar head allows for a very precise shave, which is useful for trimming sideburns. Also the blade stops are very small, meaning almost the whole of the blade edge is available to use, which is great for shaving under my nostrils.

The Henckel's Rapide provides a shave that lives up to it's fierce looks. I used a modern GEM SS blade rather than the wedge pictured.

Gem MMOC w/ Gem SS blade (10)
Vie Long brush
Arko, face lathered
Barbasol Pacific Rush and Nivea Sensitive Cooling After Shave Balm

Double digits shaves on the Gem blade. A first. But then, this month has been the first time my technique has been good enough to extend a blade's longevity. This whole month has been good shaves except for the few with the Gem G-bar, and those gave me irritation. Still progress. It used to be that SE shaving, with the exception of my injectors, almost always gave me irritation.

I was going t run the D and it's blade to the end of the month, but yesterday's shave took to much work and wasn't great. I guess 10 is as far as I can go, very much like the Gem stainless. I get 6-7 great shaves, then it drops off fast.
