Well after getting the Mistura C5 butterscotch, I just found a deal on a Semogue C5 black premium boar for $40 shipped new. Needed to have a black resin handled SOC

i've been using the Mistura brush for a little under 2 weeks, everyday. It's not the feeling I expected, no bad just different. I've seen the SOC c5 boar brushes allsplit and plush looking that looks so awesome. now down the road i'm going to have to get a c5 Badger, love the semogue soc resin handles, maybe since ill have black and butterscotch, i'll get the white next.
The Semogue Torga C5 is a delightful brush. Slightly shorter lofted than the SOC. I enjoy mine a great deal, congratulations on yours!

The SOC is great, especially if you like a higher loft after broken in. That brush worked best for me during the break-in process, so be sure to cherish those moments as well!
I love the SOC boar brushes. I have a C5 with faux ivory handle and it is one of my favorites. The hairs split and the knot bloomed beautifully. It builds a great lather and is an excellent exfoliator. I like it so much that I purchased a Semogue knot only and had @Rudy Vey make me a beautiful handle to mount it into. It's pretty densely packed so I let it soak for about 15 minutes in warm water before I shave.
The one I mounted into Rudy's handle still has a little more breaking in to do.
