I have the 830, and the 620. Both are outstanding brushes. I'd say the 830 is a bit nicer for face lathering, since the knot is a good deal bigger and splays out more than the 620, if you like to face lather with a large knot, that is, I guess.
There is no wrong choice between them, just a matter of your preference in knot size.
Those model with the clear handles have a vintage look.
I have the 620 with plastic handle and I love the brush. My only complaint though concerns the plastic handle. It looks nice imo but man, when that thing is wet and on a wet sink top it scoots around like an Olympic ice skater. I went to grab my lather loaded brush today and it shot across the sink top and into the sink full of water. It has also landed once between the sink cabinet and the wall throwing lather everywhere.
The 830 has an acrylic handle with basically the exact same knot as the 1305. At least it is the same hair grade. Some folks say the 830 has a ever so slightly larger knot.
I hate when I realize that what was "modern" when I was growing up, is now considered "vintage."
Plastics.

I see many talk about the painted handled 1305 being a great brush, but I prefer to have a plastic handle. Those model with the clear handles have a vintage look. Which one is a good one?
