Semogue boar brush scent

Few hours ago I recived my first Semogue 830 boar brush.
First that I fell when opened the package was a very fine scent not usual smell of the boar.
So anybody have idea what kind of scent could that be?

My 830 had a pleasant scent upon arrival also..

I was expecting the scent of boar, and feel a bit cheated.

Got my 830 yesterday and wondered the same thing. It actually has a pleasant scent. I soaked it and did a hand lather test yesterday and it still had that original nice scent today when it dried out. Be sure to soak it first as the dye will run. I did a second soak and hand lather today and still had some dye come off. It also lost a few hairs both times. Beautiful brush. One more soak tomorrow and then it goes into service.

The scent is very pleasant, I just whish that kind of AS
How much water you left in the brush before starting to make lather, do you shake it well and start with dryer brush or not.
This is my first boar brush so not 100% sure.

With a badger brush I'll squeeze and shake out the water first. I'd rather start dry and add water. Not sure yet about the boar, I'll just wing it the first few times to get a feel for it.

Here's one boar video, but the brush seems a bit too wet for me.
