Semogue 1520 Impressions?

I now find myself sadly boar-less, and I feel the need to change that. I got rid of my 1305 a month back because I grew to hate the massive loft on the thing. Currently I have a small vintage Kent with a Nib finest knot, a Simpson Duke 2, and a Kent BK4. I was thinking of adding the 1520 to the list, as it has a shorter loft with an excellent look to it, but it seems the few impressions I've read of the brush are really not that great. Most people claim it's too scratchy, even after the break-in period. I was just making this thread to see what peoples full opinions of the brush were past just, "It's too scratchy".

Handle could be a bit heavier, but I found it more comfortable than the 620, whose handle I found too short!

If it had softer tips like my Omega 10005, I'd be all over it.

The 1520 has a slightly bigger handle than the 620 but they both have the same tips. You should go for the 620 if handle size doesn't bother you because the acrylic handle will last much longer than the painted wood handle on the 1520.

I would say it is still firm after break in but the tips of the bristles are soft. This brush will give you a face massage without scratching.
